Yesterday we went to see this movie and I have to say I was shocked. It was the 2nd weekend and the theater was almost empty.
There have been some challenges with some of the actors on this show but why has it tanked the sales for this film? Isn’t that just strange?
In my local theater, there were only 8 shows in a day. 4 shows at the fancy RPX enhanced audio theater and 4 standard theater shows.
It was a great movie and I would say it may be the best thus far. It’s 2h 23m long but it moves along so quickly that you don’t feel like you’re sitting around.
Synopsis
Professor Albus Dumbledore knows the powerful, dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts magizoologist Newt Scamander to lead an intrepid team of wizards and witches. They soon encounter an array of old and new beasts as they clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers.
Warner Brothers
The character of Newt Scamander is at it again. He’s there to help Professor Albus Dumbledore with the help of some old and new characters.
The character of Eulalie Hicks was fantastic. She’s witty and a strong female.
Spoiler alert – Credence Barebone (Dumbledore) dies so that character, which has been ‘problematic’ recently, won’t be in any future films.
Honestly, I think this was a great movie because it had many of the emotions just baked in without focusing on any one for too long. Not that emotions are back but it keeps your interest when the movie just keeps changing and developing.
