I’ve been listening to this great new podcast for coaching. Coaching Conversations from Tim Hagen is a short listen packed with all kinds of goodness. This is the best 10 minutes or less that you could spend in my opinion.
This week’s show discusses receiving feedback. It’s really interesting pondering the topic of feedback. We are never taught to receive feedback. Generally, we aren’t taught to listen honestly. The world would be a different place if we did listen to each other closer.
The interesting thing the mention is teaching people to get out in front of the feedback and ask for feedback. I smiled at this suggestion because I had done this recently. I had a different motive, to be honest, but I still opened the door to receive some good advice.
In our corporate world, it’s hard to find a corporate culture where coaching is front and center. I’ve been looking for this and you see some company email and training which would support that culture. The problem is that everyone is running the rat race and these training and company emails don’t get the required time to implement the suggestions.
If you are interested in coaching like I check out this podcast. It’s once a week and 10 minutes or less. If you’re like me we waste 10 minutes multiple times during a week. So give it a try.
